Explore the art of Michelangelo in Florence, live an enticing private tour and unveil the legendary skills of the master and the numerous stories lying behind several eternal masterpieces.
What comes to your mind when you hear the name of Michelangelo? Maybe you will think of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, the David, or the Pietà? Michelangelo is often mentioned in the company of other great Italian masters, such as Leonardo da Vinci or Raphael. One thing is certain – Michelangelo is one of the greatest artists ever, famous all over the globe! As a Tuscan sculptor, architect, and painter Michelangelo lived, worked, and created some of his major works in Florence.
During this tour we will immerse ourselves into the marvelous world of Michelangelo, experience some of his most celebrated works of art, and reveal the secrets of Buonarroti. Follow the footprints of Michelangelo from his first years of apprenticeship, when he was living in the Palazzo Medici at the court of Lorenzo the Magnificent and practicing his anatomy studies in Santo Spirito. After the David, a masterpiece carved out of a spoiled block of marble, the artist was going to produce the statues and architecture of the New Sacristy, the burial chapel of the Medici family in San Lorenzo (Cappelle Medicee). Meet Michelangelo in Florence and get a closer contact with his philosophy.
Since our guides are also local residents here in Florence, they are all very happy to provide you with personal suggestions, tips, and any advice that will help you get the most out of your stay in this beautiful city.
