The Tiber Valley is a land of typical local products set in tradition. It is characterized by the use of local raw materials produced in local farms. There is not  one specific product to be spoken of, but many small productions from the heart of Tuscany: cheese, meat, fruit, legumes, vegetables, honey, truffles, mushrooms and chestnuts, especially the DOP Caprese Michelangelo Chestnut. And last but not least, let's not forget the PGI White Chianina Bullock of the Central Apennines. The culinary tradition of the Tiber Valley is promoted and safeguarded by Strada dei Sapori Valtiberina Toscana Association, It is an excellent starting point for a travelling flavour fest which can take many different routes as you discover the activities of those who make this part of Tuscany famous.

Dinner in a typical restaurant with genuine seasonal ingredients. Overnight stay  at Locanda del Viandante in Anghiari.

DAY 3 - Morning
