If you have only one day to spend in Florence, here’s a “grand panorama adventure” ending with a visit of the Pitti Palace, surrounded by the famous Boboli Gardens. A perfect occasion if you are also a fan of Dan Bronwn’s novel “Inferno”.

Minivan car service pick up and Panoramic Tour. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Florentine hills from the heights of Piazzale Michelangelo and Fiesole while sitting comfortably in a minivan. Take in the lovely, enchanting landscapes that surround Leonardo da Vinci’s homeland. Our journey first passes by Santa Croce Church (on our way to the Arno River) and from the splendid view of the Ponte Vecchio. We then move up to Piazzale Michelangelo, which overlooks the city, and its incredible monuments. Our next stop is Fiesole, a fascinating Etruscan gem. On our way back downtown, we will pass in front of Santa Maria Novella church.

After the panoramic tour you will join the group experience “An invitation to Court” at Palazzo Pitti, one of the most important landmarks and highlights of the entire Tuscany. The itinerary recreates the cultural climate at court during the Medici reign. The Galleria Palatina (Palatine Gallery), a private collection of paintings owned by the grand duke, is displayed in the official Palace staterooms. The extraordinary decoration of the Planetary Rooms, designed by the great Baroque painter Pietro da Cortona, creates an overwhelming effect of frescoes and stucco. It forms the background for the superb exhibition of masterpieces from the Medici collections, including artworks by Raphael, Titian, Rubens, and Van Dyck. The tour ends in the museum around 6:00 pm and, why not, get a souvenir of your stunning experience in the gift shop!
