What about Pisa and Lucca? Two stunning cities, a day trip from Florence in the heart of Tuscany: spend a day out of the Renaissance Capital and live a full day to discover the pure, fascinating, elegance of these two historical towns.
The itinerary first takes us to Pisa, where our experts will show you the most important squares and monuments in the city: the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, the Cemetery and the Cathedral (visit inside). Enjoy the charming walk in Borgo Stretto, look at the delightful “Palazzo Blu” on the river Arno and fall in love with Pisa, which may be the most romantic city in the entire region.
At the end of the morning you will have free time for photos and for lunch (included in the package only if the lunch option is selected) before departing for Lucca.
Pisa and Lucca are very different. Explore the streets of the historic center of the enchanting Lucca, renowned for its art and its original towering walls, this is our next stop. Here a local guide will take you on a pleasant downtown walk, where you will have the chance to admire the Anfiteatro Square, the Guinigi Tower, St. Martin’s Cathedral and the typical “antique dealers’ street”. The day tour will end in a local pastry shop where you will taste the Buccellato, a tasty traditional sweet.
Return to Florence in the late afternoon.

The local guides were excellent and the headsets work well to ensure all is heard. However sheer numbers and variety of languages sometimes made the general organisation seem somewhat chaotic,; the tour managers did well in the circumstances.
